Dave McDevitt grew up in Riverside, CA in a relatively functional family. As a kid, he wanted to be an actor but didn't pursue his dream until he was 31. After doing a few local plays, he and his wife moved to Los Angeles. Without boring you with the details, flash forward 20 + years and here he is writing monologues. Dave works as a 4th grade teacher during the day and squeezes in writing when he has time. He has been married for 31 years and has two teenage sons.
